Andreas Powell is the managing director of AMPowell. He worked at Universal Pictures International Germany in various roles within the marketing department for 13 years and is a specialist in the areas of digital, social media and influencer marketing.

After almost 13 years in various roles at Universal Pictures, I decided to start my own company. Over the last 10 years, digital marketing and especially influencer marketing has experienced massive growth. While TV, outdoor and radio campaigns used to be the largest parts of film media campaigns, digital marketing is now the largest part of the media campaign for most films. Influencer marketing in particular has gained more and more attention and will only continue to grow in the next few years. I started working with influencers at Universal in 2014 and during that time I saw and helped shape this change. Through this experience with national and international campaigns, I was able to build a network in this area and define a workflow.

A company that focuses on global influencer campaigns based in LA, with the ability to anchor influencer marketing early in the campaign, has great potential. All employees who are essential for the release of international campaigns are based in Los Angeles. Based on the film campaigns, the long-term plan is to also develop influencer campaigns for other areas in the entertainment industry, such as games, sports or music.
